Victory over pornography-Victory app can help

Okay. Pornography doesn’t seem to be a subject that pairs up well with the joys of the Advent season. But when you think about it, a big part of the preparation for Christmas  includes a desire for substantial change in a particular area of our life. Pornography is a pernicious arena of battle that CAN be won. And Advent is a beautiful time to begin that fight. That’s the message of a confidential and discreet program offered during the Advent season at my parish. So to support their program, I’m suggesting a wonderful app designed to provide a personal strategic plan for Victory.

That’s the title of the free app–Victory  Apple | Android.

This app–likely to be one of the only charcoal-colored app icons on your mobile device– walks you through time-tested strategies to change behavior including understanding your triggers and pitfalls; learning how to analyze them; utilizing prayer partners; tracking and gauging progress, engaging in daily inspirational thoughts including the wisdom of the saints and more. Impressive is the fact that the Catholic developers who lecture on the topic– Matt Fradd and Mark Hart– make the Sacrament of Penance or Confession integral into the journey toward healing.

Don’t think this app is for you? One blogger is utilizing the app as a tool to combat moral vice in general in tracking “triggers” three times per day and employing the app’s tools to stave off temptations.
