
The Holy See press office announced March 15 that Pope Francis plans to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25 at 5 p.m. (Rome time) in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. EWTN will broadcast the ceremony live beginning at 12 noon ET (USA).

This is a specific act of consecration which Our Lady of Fatima requested of the pope in 1917. It’s been done in various ways in the past [read here], but given that the Latin Rite Ukrainian bishops requested the pope to do this explicitly naming “Russia,” as Our Lady requested, it should be quite the blessed moment of history.
