The Holy See press office announced March 15 that Pope Francis plans to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25 at 5 p.m. (Rome time) in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. EWTN will broadcast the ceremony live beginning at 12 noon ET (USA).

This is a specific act of consecration which Our Lady of Fatima requested of the pope in 1917. It’s been done in various ways in the past [read here], but given that the Latin Rite Ukrainian bishops requested the pope to do this explicitly naming “Russia,” as Our Lady requested, it should be quite the blessed moment of history. As this war wages on, we pray!
