We’re talking 52 pope-themed stickers and 14 animated GIFs with a cartoon pope in various settings appropriate to his historic visit to the United States, September 22-27. And it’s pretty popular. In just four days since its September 10 launch, reports Fortune, more than 30,000 people have downloaded the “Popemoji” keyboard and sent 235,000 “Popemojis” via text, email, Twitter or Facebook.
Operation is pretty straightforward after downloading: re-set your keyboard setting with prompts; choose a sticker or GIF image and choose the social media you’d like to use to send the image.
Developers say that if Pope Emoji become popular enough, they may update with new stickers and animations in the future.
