Sacred Words is an innovative word game where not only can you use normal dictionary words, you can use words from the Bible as well! Additionally, you can further your mind by actually clicking on a word to retrieve the standard and/or Biblical definition of the word that was last played.

iCamilliani is the new application for iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry, downloadable for free, which offers a series of historical and artistic routes all around Italy, to discover the History and the places where St. Camillus, the first nurse in History, lived and worked. The app offers some routes starting from Bucchianico, hometown of the Saint, and touching many Italian resorts where he himself had stayed, worked and left tangible and deep traces.“In particular” – as you can read on the site dedicated to the Fourth Centenary of the death of St. Camillus – “iCamilliani is an innovative guide to the less known places of Rome and reveals uncommon aspects of important sites of the capital city”, such as the Port of Ripetta and the Church of Saint mary Magdalene, chosen by St. Camillus as base of his Order, real jewel of the Roman Baroque-Rococo, to which is dedicated an entire detailed section of the app.

“A wonderful new, lost-cost app has been made available to Catholics, enabling them to take their novenas on the go.”

“The novena app has a plethora of great novenas, arranged to easily navigate based on need: health, occupations, situations, states of life, etc. You can also say novenas based on who you want to pray to, if not what to pray for. You can search for those by: angels, evangelists, holy people, martyrs and mystics.”

“And it’s more than just the great novenas so many of us turn to — and rely on — for various needs throughout life.”

Illustrated with beautiful vintage Holy Cards from the collection of Father Eugene Carrella.

Visit novena.com for the homepage of the app maker and to download the app or go to the iTunes store and look for novena app.

We have created a unique Rosary App that provides the opportunity to pray the rosary with the voices we love. It is highly personal – meaning that you can record the voices of children, grandchildren, parents, friends…anyone! You have the option to playback with just one of the voices or “shuffle” to hear all of your recorded prayers/voices for you to pray the Rosary.

    Now on the App Store:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/record-a-rosary/id777338101?mt=8

Soon to be released for Android devices.

This has been a family labor of love…the idea and inspiration was truly a gift from the Holy Spirit. Since we are fairly new to the “App World” we would greatly appreciate any help to get the word out.

Only 99 cents with a portion of proceeds going to Catholic Relief Services.

I recommend The Better Part app by http://www.rcspritualdirection.com. It gives a daily Gospel reading with a meditation and questions for reflection. I do not see it listed on this website or maybe I just missed it. It is by Fr. John Bartunek, LC who assisted Mel Gibson in the Passion of the Christ. He also has a retreat guide series that is very good. It was just picked up by Fr Barron’s Word on Fire for parish use.

Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (September 14)

As we approach this awesome feast of the Exaltation/Triumph of the Cross, I’d like to share a resource near & dear to my heart. This app is the result of a spiritual experience with the main intention of spreading the message of salvation.

The Passion of Jesus app is founded on the deep spiritual writings of St.Alphonsus de Liguori. This Saint and several others (St.Augustine, St.Bonaventure, St.Pope JPII etc) urge believers of the importance of daily reflecting on the Passion of Jesus to grow in grace and holiness. While this subject (passion/pain/suffering) is not something that people naturally gravitate towards, it is the foundation of our faith and the means of our salvation.

This app follows each step of the Passion over a 24 hour timeline and is available in several languages. It is currently available for iPhone & iPad (iOS 6 & 7) and expected shortly in Android.

Here’s link to the app demo:

The app found in the url above is awesome (and is completely free)! It was created by Matthew Kelley and his DynamicCatholic Ministry.

The app contains a series of 12 sessions of 6 (very short) videos each. These videos were meant for teens preparing for Confirmation, but as a seminarian who is strong in his faith and is studying to become a Catholic Priest, even I am able to receive much grace and fruit from watching these videos, myself!

In essence, this goes to show that anyone with an open heart will be enriched by these videos about our faith, no matter their age or stage in the spiritual journey.

The videos can also be watched online (completely free) at the following web address:

You can import verses from selected versions or type/paste from any other version.

Hello, I would like to recommend Hallow: Prayer and Meditation. It offers audio guided sessions using a variety of prayer techniques (e.g., Lectio Divina, Christian Meditation, the Examen, Spiritual Writing, Rosary). It’s basically like guided sessions in Catholic mindfulness. Users can choose if they want a male or female voice, can download for offline listening, and can choose what length session they want (usually 5 – 15 minutes). It also has a place to journal your thoughts!

ISanctuary is such an amazing app that is filled with prayers, the rosary, and even an AR church to help you feel at peace and happiness. I would highly recommend this app for new believers, as well as believers since day one and in Between. The AR church makes you feel like you are in a real church and has the beautiful Divine Mercy there. This is one of my favorite apps and I will always keep and cherish it!
